Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Minister of Defense Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani said Tehran is ready to help Syria to rebuild and develop its defense infrastructures.

Iran PressIran News: He made the announcement in Tehran on Wednesday during talks with Major General Abdul Karim Mahmoud Ibrahim, the chief of the general staff of the Syrian Army.

The Iranian minister said that his country is ready to help Syria rebuild its defense infrastructures during the post-era war, as it has previously assisted the Arab country in its fight against terrorist groups.

He also said that the fact that regional countries have admitted the role the Syrian government plays in the region is indicative of the real power of Syria. It also shows Syria’s victory over plots hatched by the US and the Zionist regime, he added.

The Syrian military official thanked Iran for its support over the past years, saying that the position his country has achieved today is the result of sacrifices made by both Iran and Syria in countering terrorism and preventing its spread to other countries in the region and beyond.
