Iran Press/ Europe: Nasser Seraj, the Head of the General Inspection Organization of Iran (GIO)has met with Yury Chaika, Prosecutor General of Russia and discussed fighting corruption and crimes, IRNA reported.
In the meeting, Iranian and Russian officials talked about the possibility of developing legal and judiciary cooperation between two countries.
Reviewing fighting administrative and financial corruption, solutions for reinforcing regional and international cooperation in the framework of Eurasia ombudsman and the ways to train experts in anti-corruption and ombudsman fields were among other topics discussed by Iranian and Russian officials.
Seraj also discussed about the Iranian citizens’ problems related to ombudsman agreements and guaranteeing citizenship rights.
The Eurasian Ombudsman Alliance is a human rights union that unites the efforts of state human rights defenders of Europe and Asia.
The alliance guarantees to the Ombudsperson of the Eurasian states a permanent working contact, which will allow to quickly solve problematic issues of citizens of their countries abroad.This association is purely humanitarian-legal in nature.
On December 5, 2017 in Moscow, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova, Akyikatchy (Ombudsman) of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Otorbaev, Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia Arman Tatoyan, and President of General Inspection Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran Naser Seraj signed a Memorandum on the establishment of Eurasian Ombudsman Alliance.
