Tehran (IP)- Iran's President stressed that the country's foreign policy is focused on trust building with the neighboring countries and the economic convergence in Asia.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi upon his arrival from China at Mehrabad Airport on Thursday morning called Tehran Beijing ties the strategic ones as well as the talks with Chinese officials.

He further explained that in the strategic negotiations, the interests of the two sides in the field of trading and economic activities were discussed.

Raisi further elaborated that his state visit to China was significant due to the agreement and the MOUs embodied and concluded between the two sides.

He further said that the other noticeable part of Iran-China cooperation would be related to Iran's membership in regional and trans-regional organizations like Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

According to President Raisi, China also urges Iran's membership in BRICS.

BRICS is an acronym for five leading emerging economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
