Tehran (IP)- The head of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication announced the formation of a joint working group between Iran and Lebanon to develop cultural ties.

Iran PressIran News: The Cultural Agreement between Iran and Lebanon was signed on October 17, 1956, and is still valid, and the implementation of the provisions of the Memorandum is one of the cultural priorities of the two countries.

"Lebanon is one of the pillars of resistance in the world and Iran is ready to further develop the discourse of resistance and close cooperation with," Mehdi Imanipour told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting with Lebanon's Minister of Culture Muhammad Wissam Al-Murtada.

He stressed that the Iranian Cultural Center is currently active in Lebanon, but the Lebanese Minister insists that more centers be established to expand cultural ties between the two countries.

Referring to the signing of a cultural agreement between the two countries in recent years, the head of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communication said: "This cultural agreement remains in force, but given the wide scope of cooperation, it needs to be activated."
