Mohammad Boroujerdi, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Indonesia, and Mohammadreza Ebrahimi, Iran’s Cultural Counselor, met with Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, to discuss avenues for enhancing cultural relations between the two nations.

Iran PressAsia:  According to the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization of Iran, Minister Zon highlighted the strong cultural and scientific connections between Iran and Indonesia. He emphasized the importance of fostering these ties and expressed interest in expanding cooperation in areas such as film, cinema, and music.

Ambassador Boroujerdi underscored the longstanding cultural relationship between the two countries, noting that various agreements and documents have been signed over the years. He mentioned the most recent cultural exchange agreement, signed in 2023, parts of which have already been implemented, with further plans underway.

"The cultural exchange agreement focuses on collaborations in key areas, particularly cultural weeks and film-related events," Boroujerdi said.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a committee, led by Iran’s Cultural Counselor, to organize cultural and film weeks, marking a new step in bilateral cultural engagement.
