Tehran (IP) – Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said the IR6 centrifuges are working with the best efficiency and quality.

Iran PressIran News: On August 2, 2022, the officials of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran issued an order to launch hundreds of new centrifuge machines, which consist of advanced IR6 and IR1 machines.

The AEOI Head, Mohammad Eslami, made the remarks in an interview with Tehran-based Al-Alam TV on Thursday.

Eslami stated that the installation of a thousand IR6 machines and other machines, the design of the Arak reactor and the production of uranium with 20% enrichment were among the issues emphasized by the Iranian Parliament, all of which were carried out in accordance with the law.

In response to the US unilateral withdrawal from the JCPoA and the imposition of sanctions against the Iranian people and the failure of European countries to implement their commitments under the nuclear deal, on December 1, 2020, Iran's parliament approved the 9-article law "Strategic Action to Lift Sanctions and Protect the Interests of the Iranian Nation".

Eslami reiterated that Iran's actions are aimed at lifting the sanctions and the United States should know that it would not get anywhere with false accusations.

Regarding the improvement in the nuclear enrichment capabilities, he said: "According to the law, we must increase the enrichment capacity to 190,000 SWU by relying on advanced IR6 machines. These advanced machines are working today in the production line with the best efficiency and quality."

Further in his remarks, the AEOI head noted that vigilance and security measures have made sabotage operations against nuclear facilities fail.
