Intensive consultations of Iranian delegation in Vienna

Tehran (IP) - During intensive technical consultations with various delegations present at the Vienna meeting, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister held talks with several officials.

Iran PressEurope: The 18th meeting of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) Joint Commission, which started virtually on Friday will resume in Vienna. 

Prior to the JCPOA Joint Commission, intensive consultations are underway between the various delegations in Vienna, and Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met today with the chairman of the Russian delegation, and last night he had another meeting with the chairman of the Chinese delegation.

The head of the Iranian delegation present at the JCPOA meeting also met this morning (local time) with Enrique Mora, EU Coordinator and Chairman of the Joint Commission, and reviewed the latest executive arrangements for the commission.

After this meeting and when the Araghchi left the meeting venue, one of the counter-revolutionary elements insulted and tried to attack him, but failed.

The MKO and other counter-revolutionary elements gathered in Vienna today in front of the hotel where the joint commission is being held to protest the talks. The Iranian embassy in Vienna has issued the necessary warnings to the Austrian police to maintain the security of Iranian negotiators.
