Tehran (IP) - In a joint statement, Iran's Intelligence Ministry and the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) have shed light on multiple aspects of the CIA and its western allies' role in provoking recent unrest inside Iran.

Iran PressIran news:  The Intelligence Department of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corp (IRGC) and the Ministry of Intelligence issued a first-ever joint statement explaining the roots and players of the recent unrest in the country.

The statement on Friday said that the preparation of the grounds for the riots, along with the central part of the operational phase of the unrest, was a package developed by the foreign intelligence services for implementation through their networks in Iran.

Exploiting an incident ( Mahsa Amini's death), the US enthusiastically kicked off a pre-determined subversive project against Iran, which was delayed several times, added the statement.

The two Iranian national bodies noted that the CIA, its allies, and its reactionary proxies had planned a cross-country riot against the Iranian nation and territorial integrity, intensifying the foreign pressures upon them.

The statement also said that the constant monitoring of the foreign elements during the past year, the evidence obtained out of the recent unrest, and the information extracted from the enemies' scenarios for the post-riots era exposed undeniable facts about the role of the US in developing, implementing, and fueling the unrest in Iran.

The pair elaborated on three different stages of the conspiracy the US has been pursuing against Iran in collaboration with its allies and their agents operating on the ground: the pre-riots phase, during the riots, and the post-riots juncture.

Using the bitter tragedy of Mahsa Amini's death as a pretext, even before the results of the investigations were out, the Americans kicked off the "pre-planned project." However, the regime usually turns a blind eye to fundamental human rights violations worldwide, including the horrific assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi by their allies in Riyadh.

The statement added that there is documented intelligence indicating that the CIA — along with allied spy agencies of the UK, the Zionist regime, the Saudi regime, and several other countries — had drawn up an "extensive" plot to commit crimes against the Iranian nation and the country's territorial integrity and set the stage to intensify pressure on the government.

"There is credible information that the planning and the operational phase of the riots were undertaken by Mossad in collaboration with the most savage terrorist groups," the statement said.

They explained in detail the plot's various dimensions, including cyberattacks, cyber warfare, and a media propaganda campaign fueled by UK-based anti-Iran TV channels.

The two intelligence bodies, however, assured that the US regime would once again fail to fulfill its evil goals.

American rulers, they said, are well aware that a new order is shaping the world, where the US regime's leadership will be nothing but "hallucinations" and will only be possible in "virtual space."

The Islamic Republic of Iran is "the same large tree" as described by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, a tree that has not sustained any harm from incidents throughout different junctures and has even strengthened its roots and created the "strong Iran."

The unrest and brawls were instigated under the pretext of Mahsa Amini, 22, who died due to a sudden heart attack in a police center in Tehran on Tuesday, September 13, after being taken there for violation of dress codes along with some other women.

Under the pretext of Mahsa's death, the foreign-backed media and bloggers affiliated with the Western states have been disseminating fake news and fueling the unrest in Iran.
