(IP)- The head of the National Standard Organization of Iran (INSO) arrived in Moscow at the invitation of his Russian counterpart.

Iran PressEurope: Iran and Russia share strategic interests in bilateral fields, especially economic, military, and security relations, as well as regional and international issues such as confronting American unilateralism, and this has been one of the main factors of close cooperation between the two sides in recent years.

Mehdi Eslampanah, the head of Iran's National Standards Organization was welcomed by Hossein Maleki, the deputy ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia, and Alexander Hozmin, the deputy of the Russian Standards Organization, upon his arrival at Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport.

Iranian official Eslampanah will have a bilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart and will visit some Russian standard assessment institutes in Moscow.

He will also meet with the head of the Council of Muftis of Russia and discuss with him the standards of the halal industry.

This trip by Eslampanah took place while Iran's exports to Russia increased by 30% in 2023 compared to last year, and this figure keeps the same growth in the first four months of the year, according to Kazem Jalali, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow.
