Iran Press/ Asia: Members of the Indian Youth Congress celebrated the memory of the Indian hero on Saturday on the birthday anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi (October 2, 1869) by carrying the country's flag in the streets of Delhi.
Mahatma Gandhi was the spiritual and political leader of the Indians who led the Indian nation to freedom from the colonial rule of Britain.
Gandhi took over the leadership of the Indian National Congress in 1921 and was finally able to teach the Indian people the idea of unarmed struggle and bring independence and self-sufficiency to the Indians.
