Tehran (IP)- Iran's parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf called on Russia to avoid helping the West to destabilize the Persian Gulf.

Iran PressIran News: In a thread on Twitter, Ghalibaf said: The Iranian parliament strongly rejects the joint statement of the Persian Gulf countries and Russia regarding the three Iranian islands. The territorial integrity of Iran has been preserved with the blood of hundreds of thousands of the purest and bravest youths, and we will not compromise with any side in this regard.

"Russia, which considers itself a victim of the West's and NATO's endless geopolitical expansionism and is fighting against it, should not help the West's geopolitical plan to destabilize the Persian Gulf, while Iran is the only guarantor of stability in the Persian Gulf and the neutralizer of the West's dangerous plots in this region," added the speaker.

I'd like to highlight that we shouldn't overlook the role of the media and those associated with the Western media alliance in this situation. It's not reasonable for individuals who have disregarded the significance of protecting Iran's security over the past 40 years to suddenly be concerned about its territorial integrity, the tweet reads.
