Iran Press/ Europe: German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas held video-conference talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and the sides discussed a range of bilateral and international issues, including the situation in Hong Kong, as well as the situation around the JCPOA.
In this discussion, German FM emphasizing the need to preserve the JCPOA as the main goal and said that China as the main actor in international politics can promote constructive cooperation about the JCPOA.
Diplomatic efforts to reach a comprehensive, long-term and proper solution to the Iranian nuclear issue culminated in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) concluded on 14 July 2015 by China, France, Germany, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, the United States, the High Representative of the European Union (the E3/EU+3) and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
