Gen Mousavi: Trump threats justification for act of terror

Tehran (IP): Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army called Trump's recent threat to hit 52 sites in Iran including cultural sites is a justification for the US act of terror.

Iran Press/Iran news: Referring to  Donald Trump's threat to target and hit 52 Iranian sites, Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi said on Sunday that the Americans say these things out of their need to save their face after the assassination of Lieutenant-General Qasem Soleimani.

Gen. Mousavi went on to stress the fact that the US assassination of Lieutenant General Soleimani is considered as a very awful, unacceptable and unjustifiable act all around the world.

The Iranian military official added that it best explains the reason behind their irrational words which are aimed at dwarfing inhumane act.

US President Donald Trump in a twitter message warned that if Iran reacted to the assassination of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, the US military will target 52 points in Iran including Iranian cultural sites.

In a tweet on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, has chided US President Donald Trump for threatening to deliberately target cultural sites in Iran, saying such action would constitute a war crime.

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, Abu Mehdi al-Muhandis, the deputy chief of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization (al-Hashed al-Sha'abi), along with a number of other military figures were martyred by direct order of US President Donald Trump in the early hours of Friday morning (January 3, 2020). 104/205
