Iran Press/ Iran News: The Committee for the Support of the Islamic Revolution of the Palestinian People in the Presidential Administration of Iran on Monday to mark the International Day of Gaza entitled "Gaza Day; Demonstration of Resistance and Self-Confidence" issued a statement, saying: "Following the failure of Israel in the 33-day war against the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, the Zionists and their allies attacked Gaza Strip on December 27, 2008, thinking that they would make up for the defeat against Hezbollah through the besieged Gaza Strip."
The statement read: "In the 33-day war, the Zionist regime used a set of unconventional weapons, including white phosphorus and cluster bombs, to break the morale of the people of Gaza and destroy the resistance, which was prohibited under international law."
The statement emphasized: “The oppressed and defenseless nation of Gaza, relying on the Holy essence of God and strong belief on the principle of self-confidence and resistance, was able to humiliate the global oppression and corruption, that is, the hegemony of international Zionism."
The statement concluded: “Today, the legitimacy of the Muslim and oppressed nation of Palestine is revealed to all, and the conspiracies of global arrogance led by terrorist America and the reactionary mercenaries of the region against the oppressed nations of the world, especially dear Palestine, resistant Yemen, Islamic Iraq, and independent Syria, are exposed.”
