IP - On Saturday evening, (after Israeli heavy attacks in the early morning), from around 16:00 Gaza local time, the besieged enclave came from heavy bombardment including major airstrikes that hit civilian neighborhoods of Gaza.

Iran Press/ West Asia: One took place in Rafah, targeting the civil defense department. This will make it even more difficult for them to rescue people from under the rubble.

In Gaza City, in an area known as al-Saraya, the site of an annual book fair has been completely destroyed, leaving many in the surrounding homes injured.

Israel kept up heavy bombardment of targets throughout Gaza overnight on Saturday after the release of the first two hostages by the enclave’s ruling Hamas group.

The latest Israeli airstrikes destroyed the al-Zahraa neighborhood in central Gaza, with more than two dozen blocks of flats razed to the ground overnight into Friday.

At least 53 Palestinians have been killed and several others injured after Israeli military aircraft carried out a fresh round of airstrikes against various residential neighborhoods across the besieged Gaza Strip.

Palestinian media said Israeli aircraft had struck six homes in the north of Gaza, a coastal enclave that is one of the world’s most densely populated places, killing at least 19 people and injuring dozens.

There is no safe place for any Palestinian to run to at the moment.

Continuing Israeli air strikes on Gaza have destroyed most of a neighborhood and officials from the Gaza health ministry say the overall death toll has risen to more than 4,300 people.

Israel on Saturday told all residents in the northern Gaza Strip to leave and move south of Wadi Gaza in the center of the territory.

About 1.4 million Gazans have been displaced with more than half a million people in 147 UN shelters, the UN says.
