The Turkish army announced the death of four of its military forces in a clash with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq.

Following this drone attack, the Turkish army announced that four of its soldiers were killed in a clash with the PKK.

Türkiye has been violating the territorial integrity of Iraq for a long time under the pretext of confronting the forces of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Turkey's southeast has been rocked by violence following the collapse of a 2-1/2-year ceasefire between the state and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in July last year. The PKK has repeatedly targeted security forces since.

Iraqi authorities denounced Wednesday renewed Turkish military operations and “incursions” into northern Iraq, urging Ankara to solve security issues diplomatically.

Baghdad has repeatedly called Türkiye's attacks on northern Iraq an example of occupation, and many areas in the north of Syria and Iraq have been depopulated following successive attacks by the Turkish army.
