Latin America(IP): Iran's Foreign Minister called Venezuela as the gateway to Iran's business activities in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Iran PressAmerica: Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has established good relations with some countries in the Latin American region, such as Nicaragua, Cuba, Venezuela, and Bolivia, which have a long history of fighting imperialism and global arrogance led by the United States.

In recent years, the relations between Iran and the progressive countries of Latin America have always been on the rise and these relations have been expanding in political, economic, commercial, industrial, energy, medical and other fields.

Therefore, Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, left Tehran for Caracas on a three-day trip to Latin American countries, including Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba, on Monday.

In this regard, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir- Abdollahian, in a conversation on the sidelines of the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Latin America, stated that one of the focuses of the 13th administration of Iran is a balanced foreign policy prioritizing economic diplomacy and said:

 "Within the framework of the meetings and negotiations of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Venezuela, 26 documents were signed, the main focus of which was on economic, commercial, technological, and scientific issues."

Iran's Foreign Minister added: "Venezuela is the gateway to Iran's business activities in Latin America and the Caribbean."

Referring to the 600 million population of Latin American countries, Amir- Abdollahian stated: "Latin America and our friendly countries in this region can have a strong connection with the markets of West Asia through the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Iran's foreign minister said: "Iran and Venezuela can have a balanced cooperation in the shadow of the 20-year comprehensive agreement."

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Havana, the capital of Cuba, this morning (Thursday).
