At least ten people were killed, and five others went missing in floods that hit Türkiye's southern provinces on Wednesday, as the region is still struggling to recover from the effects of massive earthquakes in early February.

Iran PressAsia: At least ten people were killed and two firefighters were missing in Sanliurfa province, governor Salih Ayhan said in a statement.

In Adiyaman province, a container that served as a temporary home for a family of four was swept away by the floods.

"Unfortunately, we found the body of one of the four people. The search for three others continues," Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu told reporters in Adiyaman.

Two massive earthquakes jolted southern Türkiye on Feb. 6, affecting 11 provinces that include both Sanliurfa and Adiyaman. Tens of thousands of people are taking shelter in tents and containers.
