(IP) - The head of customs of Saravan County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeast of Iran, announced that the export of goods increased in the city.

Iran PressIran News: Kohak is one of Iran's trade highways that is located 95 km from Saravan City, Sistan, and Baluchestan province, southeast of Iran.

Monavvari, head of Saravan Customs, during his visit to the Kohak border market of the city, added that the export from the Saravan border market increased by 8% compared to last year reaching 114 thousand tons of goods. 

He further pointed to the average daily export of 2,100 tons, which can greatly contribute to the economy of the region. 

"The high demand of Pakistan for the use of Iranian goods caused the export of nearly 90 trucks of goods daily through the Saravan border," said the head of Saravan Customs.

Construction materials, foodstuffs, and bitumen are the main exported goods to Pakistan, according to Monavvari.

Saravan County has one of the longest border strips with Pakistan with 384 kilometers of joint border.
