Iran Press/Iran News: Expressing the importance of the need for free access to information on Monday, Hassan Rouhani, during the 16th session of the Executive Council of Information Technology, said: "All devices inform the people of the process of their activities and services to ensure the satisfaction of citizens and reduce their concerns, and resolve any ambiguities and concerns of the people immediately."
Stating that e-government should be at the service of health and livelihood of citizens, Rouhani ordered all executive bodies that synergy and efforts should be paid attention to eliminate its shortcomings or inadequacies to promote e-services.
The President described the strengthening of e-government infrastructure as one of the priorities of the 11th government from the beginning, pointing to its valuable role in controlling the corona transmission chain and maintaining the health of citizens.
He added: "The quality of municipal services at different levels should be in accordance with the wishes and needs of citizens, and should be done in the shortest time and with high accuracy."
He called the provision of distance services to citizens with a serious determination a completely achievable thing, saying: "Today, smart cities should be one of the priorities of the housing and urban development sector and municipalities, and it is expected that along with urban development, special attention is paid to smartening of cities.
Rouhani stated that in the development of smart cities, the establishment of broadband networks, the use of smart equipment, the development of smart urban spaces and the development of electronic services should be considered.
He went on to say: "Integration among executive devices that give services is the key to achieving a smart city and despite the important steps that have been taken so far, today the big cities of our country, including Tehran, are far from the standard of a smart city."
The Iranian president considered the smartening of urban services for citizens and foreign nationals a necessity, saying: "Providing intelligent services is not specific to Iranian citizens and launching a comprehensive system of foreign nationals and immigrants and electronic processes in order to achieve e-government goals, including service related to married citizens with Iranian women and their children, the development and process of doing such things should be improved day by day.
Rouhani also pointed to the government's special attention to the development of smart government, stressing: "In the field of smart services and government affairs in various areas of trade, economy and services, including electronic toll collection on freeways, the use of electronic documents in the Judiciary, especially notaries and courts, and the development of virtual branches and counters of banks and credit institutions as a whole need to be further developed."
The President emphasized: "Providing citizens with easy access to government information and services and reducing their costs by integrating and eliminating surplus systems in order to streamline e-government operations to ensure rapid response to citizens' needs is the most important programs and measures in the final year of the government's activities."
Rouhani considered information and communication technology as an integral part of the lifestyle, stating: "Today, modern life is unimaginable without the Internet and digital technology. Transportation, telecommunications, health care, security, education, and almost every part of society depend on information and communication technology."
The President called the integration of e-government services with the aim of optimal efficiency a necessity, stressing: "The provision of e-services is important mechanisms such as monitoring, guidance to achieve a single window of e-government services which the government has developed its infrastructure."
Referring to the evaluation and identification of successful authentication systems, Rouhani added: "Each of the executive bodies or companies has designed systems for authentication of citizens, which is necessary with the experiences and strengths of these systems and Overlap Take effective steps to promote security and e-health."
After presenting the report on the performance of the Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of efforts to join the e-government, the president also appreciated the efforts of the employees and managers of the Customs.
