Iran Press/Asia: Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks on Monday in a meeting with Kairat Sarybay, Executive Director of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on the sidelines of the Ninth Conference on the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process in Tajikistan.
Referring to the end of the era of unipolarity and Westernism in the international system, FM Zarif stressed the importance of Asia and the countries of the region in international relations.
While announcing Iran's support for strengthening CICA and member states' cooperation, the Iranian Foreign Minister praised Kazakhstan's role in the Iran nuclear talks, as well as its role in the Astana peace talks as the only effective way to restore peace to Syria.
During the meeting, the Executive Director of CICA, while appreciating the participation and cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the regional activities of CICA, explained the plans of this organization, including the holding of a meeting with CICA member states and ministers.
