Iran Press/Europe: The French newspaper Le Figaro reported on Tuesday that Berlin had announced last week that France, Germany and Britain would send medical equipment to Iran in late March as part of the first phase of INSTEX.
Referring to a telephone conversation yesterday evening between Hassan Rouhani and Emmanuel Macron, the Elysee Palace said in a statement, "Expressing sympathy with the Iranian people affected by the coronavirus, Macron said France and its European partners are ready to continue humanitarian cooperation with Iran."
Hassan Rouhani in a telephone conversation with French counterpart Emanuel Macron described on Monday launching the Instrument in Support of Trade Exchange (INSTEX) as a positive step but insufficient, saying that the mechanism should not be limited to medical supplies and foodstuff; rather it must be used for meeting all the country's needs.
Wishing the French government and nation as well as the world success in fighting coronavirus pandemic, Rouhani said that all the countries should note that they will not be able to put behind the critical conditions without using each other's experiences.
