Iran Press/Iran news: The congregations are on the occasion of the last day of the fasting month of Ramadan annually.
The prayers were held at Samangan mosque, Narmak - East of Tehran- participated by all walks of life in a limited number to observe health protocol.
This year Eid-al Fitr congregations were held in less crowded queues because the novel virus has halted many social and religious gatherings. It also led to the shutting down of holy shrines, mosques, schools and many more.
Eid al-Fitr is the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal. It marks the end of Ramadan, which is a month of fasting and prayer. Many Muslims attend prayers, listen to a khutba (sermon), and give zakat al-Fitr (a form of obligatory charity) during Eid al-Fitr.
