Tehran (IP) - The Head of Iran's Civil Defense Organization says the body has developed due counter-measures against the chemo-terrorism recombinant threats.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the 8th National Chemical Defense Conference, Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali said: "In the field of chemo-terrorism threats, we have witnessed the extension of these operation carried out against the Resistance Axis happened both in Iran and in other countries."

"In the primary examinations, we found out that the enemy is using a type of new and recombinant technology. Fortunately, our medical and diagnostic departments managed to fully recognize the threat and prepare for it," General Jalali added.

With regard to the legal measures taken to make the European countries pay damages to Iran because of their supporting Saddam for the chemical attacks on the Iranian people, he told IranPress that the President's Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Judiciary, and the plaintiff institution are the prominent prosecutors.

Also, NGOs of chemically harmed victims and veterans have filed lawsuits against European governments, he added and noted that it seems as if the international bodies are not severe enough to retake the Iranian nation's rights.

The 8th National Chemical Defense Conference was held in Tehran on Wednesday, focusing mainly on the chemical threats caused by the development of chemical and petrochemical infrastructures inside the country, especially in urban areas.
