Tehran (IP)- Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the hearing session of the Parliament held on Sunday said that establishing the public libraries are among the most important agenda of Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

Iran Press/Iran news: Seyyed Abbas Salehi went on to say that some 365 libraries, including 5 central libraries have been made in recent years.

Iran's s Senior official also added that so far hundreds of conferences and book reading competitions have been held in Iran.

Referring to approaches taken by the ministry under Hassan Rouhani's government, Salehi also elaborated that some 30,000 book reading clubs with some 300,000 members around the country are actively running all across Iran the fact which he referred to as one of the achievements of the ministry to development book reading culture as well as promoting the publication based economy.
