Middle East (IP) - Iraqi sources reported the martyrdom of two fighters of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Organization of Iraq after a bomb explosion.

Iran PressMiddle East: The PMF, which was born with the fatwa of Ayatollah Ali Sistani, the supreme leader of Iraqi Shias, and from the hearts of various strata of Iraq's multi-ethnic society to fight the ISIS, is considered one of the most important combat forces in the fight against terrorists.

According to Baghdad Al-Youm, Iraqi security sources announced on Saturday that a member of the PMF lost his life from the 47th Brigade forces following the explosion of a bomb left by ISIS terrorists in the operational area of Jarf al-Nasr in central Iraq.

According to security sources, Another member of the PMF was also martyred after a bomb exploded while he was on duty in the desert between Karbala and Anbar provinces (western Iraq).

In 2017, after three years of fighting, Iraq declared victory over the ISIS terrorist outfit, but the scattered elements and nuclei of this terrorist outfit are still active in some areas of the provinces of Diyala, Kirkuk, Nineveh, Salahuddin, Anbar and Baghdad. Iraqi security forces and the PMF continue to search, clear and pursue ISIS remnants throughout the country to ensure that ISIS and its fugitive elements do not re-emerge.
