Iran Press/ Iran news: "In this fall, there has been an increase in net employment of more than 535,000 people compared to last year. The total number of employed people has reached 24,700,000 people, which coincides with a 0.1% increase in the participation rate," Ehsan Khandouzi added.
He said that the unemployment rate has decreased to 8.2 percent, while delivering a speech in his weekly press conference on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
"This year, the number of employed people in the country is 750,000 more than what was in 2016, that is, before the sanctions," Khandozi explained.
He went on to say that the employment rate of the industrial sector increased by 2% and reached more than 8,329,000 people, which is 666,000 more than the industrial employment of 2016.
