Tehran (IP) - A message to the Iranian cellphones alarming for an earthquake in the country was released on Wednesday.

Iran PressIran News: The Deputy Interior Minister of Iran for Security Affairs, Majid Mirahmadi, said the message was published due to the technical negligence of the operator.

A few hours ago, a message was received on some Iranian citizens' mobile phones, in which people were asked to go to the shelter after warning of an earthquake.

Mirahamdi said the research workgroup of the operator in charge of 'Hamrah Aval' was taking some technical piloting measures to send the measure just for the operator staff themselves, but due to some error, it was sent for a number of citizens in the country.

He apologized to the people and said the issue would be pursued.
