Iran Press/ Middle East: The detained terrorist had been wanted for seven years and was included at the top of the terrorism blacklist, Almaalomah reported yesterday, quoting an Iraqi security source.
This is while the Iraqi army launched an operation against ISIS terrorists in northern Diyala Province on Sunday.
The report says ISIS hideouts in the area were pounded during the Iraqi army airstrikes.
No details about the number of casualties or the amount of the damages have been released so far.
The source highlighted that the attack was the fifth in 2022.

In December 2017, after nearly three and a half years of fighting with the ISIS terror outfit, which occupied about a third of Iraq, the Iraqi government announced the liberation of all its territories from ISIS hands.
The remaining ISIS elements are still active in some parts of Baghdad, Saladin, Diyala, Kirkuk, Niveneh, and Al Anbar provinces.
