Tehran (IP) – On Wednesday, the Cabinet submitted a double-urgency bill to Parliament for the second time to reduce inflation effects.

Iran PressIran News: Attending a press briefing after today's cabinet meeting, the Iranian Administration Spokesman Ali Bahadori-Jahromi called on MPs to vote in favor of the double-urgency bill to reduce customs duties on some imported goods.

The bill was opposed by members of parliament earlier.

Bahadori-Jahromi also asked MPs not to postpone the bill to reduce its inflationary effects.

He pointed out that according to the report of the Agriculture Jihad Minister, more than 3.5 million tons of wheat have been purchased from Iranian farmers so far.

He also announced that the import license for essential goods from Pileh Varan and border residents who use the export currency had been extended for another year.
