Iran Press/ Iran News: Meisam Karimi said those who claimed that their sanctions on Iran did not include medicines cut the country's banking interactions to import the raw materials for producing medicines, causing difficulties for Iran to fulfill its needs during recent years.
Karimi said: "Iran is currently the third country in the world after India and China in the production of active ingredients, while the European Union produces only 30% of their needs in Europe."
The Iranian scientists managed to realize the domestication of the medical material up to 72 percent, the main part of which produced by the knowledge-based companies by the end of February 2021, he said.
