US (IP)- As the people of the world continue to support the Palestinians, thousands of Americans in various cities, holding flags and signs in solidarity with the Palestinian people, called for an end to Israel's violence.

Iran Press/America: Following the escalation of tensions between Palestinians and Israelis after the aggression by the regime in Tel Aviv against the Palestinians, hundreds of people took to the streets of New York on Saturday, May 15, in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and expressed sympathy and solidarity.

Yesterday's demonstration coincided with "Nakba Day" (the tragedy of the occupation of Palestine) under the title "Defending Palestine" in New York, and various groups such as "During our lifetime", "Unity for Palestine", and The "Voice of the Jews for Peace" was among the organizers who called on Palestinian supporters to march at 4:30 pm local time.

According to the report, the protesters against the Israeli regime's atrocities against the Palestinians started their march from the "Bay" bridge, where a large number of Palestinians live.

Earlier, on May 9, Palestinian demonstrators staged a similar rally in Bay bridge.

Supporters of the Palestinian people held signs and changed slogans in support of the Palestinian people.

Yesterday's rally in support of the Palestinian people took place just days after Palestinian supporters staged a protest in front of the Israeli consulate in Manhattan last week, sparking clashes.

On Friday, supporters of the Jewish Voice for Peace movement also marched in support of the Palestinian people in Grand Army Square, then marched to the home of Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, urging him to stop funding Israel.

"More than 100 Palestinians were killed this week, more than 30 of them children," said Rabbi Miriam Grossman, a member of the Jewish Voice for Peace, in a statement on recent Israeli atrocities against Palestinians. "These actions of Israel are an insult to the sacred: a disgrace to God. Sustainable security can only be achieved through the liberation of the Palestinians."

Clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli regime began on Monday last week after the end of the resistance deadline to Tel Aviv over the need for an end to the regime's aggression in Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today that so far the number of victims of the brutal Israeli attacks has reached 139 martyrs, including 39 children and 22 women. More than 700 Palestinians have also been injured so far.
