Iran Press/ Iran news: Quds is of great value in the eyes of Muslims due to the existence of Al-Aqsa Mosque because this holy place is the first Qibla of Muslims and especially the place of the heavenly ascension of the Prophet of Islam, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
Despite the importance of this land and the fact that today Holy Quds is under the siege of the Zionists, the oppressed people of this land are waiting for the help of the Muslims to liberate the Holy Beit-ul-Moqaddas from the hands of the Zionists.
In the meantime, Imam Khomeini's strategy and foresight resulted, and the International Day of Quds became known as a symbol of the awakening of the Islamic world.
The last Friday of Ramadan, which was named by Imam Khomeini as the International Quds Day, is of considerable importance among the Islamic world and nations. This day is an opportunity for those interested in the Palestinian cause and the passionate hearts of the youth and sections of the Muslim nations around the world to support and defend the oppressed Palestinian people and to stand up for the liberation of Holy Quds from the Zionist occupation.
While some Arab countries in the region are signing a military and security agreement with the Zionist regime on the eve of Al-Quds Day, many Islamic leaders and personalities are calling for the glorious participation of the people in the Al-Quds ceremony in order to thwart the efforts of the compromising countries.

Quds Day from the point of view of the Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution:
"The issue of Quds Day is more important this year than any other year. Of course, the issue of Palestine is a fundamental issue and not specific to Islamic states and countries; the issue of Palestine is a humanitarian issue; Human consciences are forced to react to what happened to the Palestinian people, it is not just an Islamic issue; Of course, for Muslims, this is more important, it has more priority, and in addition to the human aspect, it also has religious, but the issue is a human issue. Therefore, the Al-Quds Day march, which is the defense of Palestine by the presence of the people, is always important (Statement of Ayatollah Khamenei in a meeting of university professors, elites, and researchers, June 2019)."
Rouhani, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran:
Regarding the commemoration of Quds Day, Hassan Rouhani said: "People will mark Quds Day on Friday in support of the oppressed people of Palestine."
Rouhani stated on Wednesday: "The Zionists are the enemy of both the region and the security of the Palestinian nation; they are also the enemy of the nations of the region and are the executioners in history who have displaced millions from their homes."
Mohammad Javad Zarif Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs
On the occasion of the International Day of Quds, Mohammad Javad Zarif said: "Palestine is a benchmark for justice. Few have passed this test."
Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in a speech on the occasion of the International Quds Day, said: "Today, there are factors that increase our responsibility towards Quds."
The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement stated: "The recent developments show that the liberation of Quds is getting closer."

"Ziad al-Nakhala," the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, also stressed the occasion of the International Quds Day, emphasizing the continuation of the battle with the Zionist regime.

Anar Ramezanov, a member of the Council of Muftis of Russia (Russia's highest Islamic institution), said that the initiative of Imam Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in designating the International Quds Day eliminated the possibility of forgetting the Palestinian issue.

"Defending the oppressed is the duty of all Muslims," said Zafar Bangash, Director of the Canadian Institute of Contemporary Islamic Thought.
