Rome (IP) - The virtual photo exhibition "Persian Gulf Forever" kicked off in Italy on the eve of the Persian Gulf National Day.

Iran Press/Europe: In this three-dimensional exhibition, which was organized by the cultural consulate Embassy of The Islamic Republic of Iran in Rome with the participation of the non-governmental organization "Silk Road", 33 photographs on natural and anthropological landscapes of the Persian Gulf by the works of Hossein Izadpanah; Asghar Besharati; Abdul Reza Sheibani; Ehsan Nik Farjam; Amir Hossein Kamali; Mehdi Nazeri; Nooruddin Abedi; Mohammad Fatemi, and Abbas Kalantar is on display. 

This exhibition is online until June 27, on the website of the cultural attache office at https://www.irancultura.it/iranart/.

The tenth of Ordibehesht month (April 30) in the Iranian calendar has been designated as the Persian Gulf National Day to highlight its historical identity. The date coincides with the anniversary of Shah Abbas I of Persia’s successful military campaign when the Portuguese navy was forced out of the Strait of Hormuz in the Capture of Ormuz (1622).
