Tehran's COVID-19 status is worrying: Health official

Tehran (IP): Head of the headquarters for the management of operations against coronavirus in Tehran announced that the fourth wave of the COVID-19 is 4 times faster.

Iran PressIran News: Alireza Zali stressed that 295 cities were in undesirable conditions of COVID-19, and only 9 southern cities of the country were in blue zones.

Compared to the first three waves, the fourth wave of the COVID-19 is 4 times faster. 

It has been stressed that all capacities must be called into practice to contain the coronavirus, added Zali.

With the Ministry of Communications' help, all executive bodies must provide their services to the people electronically, he noted.

All hospitals are in full readiness to admit patients, and no patient should be deprived of treatment, Zali said.

Highlighting the danger of the UK COVID-19 variant, he stressed that the vaccination process, especially for medical staff, was accelerated, followed by target groups such as subway and bus drivers at risk of infection.
