Tehran (IP) - Negotiations for negotiations is a deceit, a senior foreign advisor to Iran's parliament speaker tweeted, referring to Iran's talks with the major powers on JCPOA in Vienna.

Iran Press/Iran News: "US insistence on talks with Iran isn't new. We negotiated with Democrats and Republicans, but they clearly infringed commitments and betrayed us," the former diplomat said.

Tehran maintains that to revive the nuclear deal, Washington, as the first party that reneged on its commitments, should unconditionally lift all the anti-Iran sanctions in a verifiable manner.

"Negotiations for negotiations is a deceit," Amirabdollahian added.

"The US has one option: a practical move to lift all sanctions, the advisor noted, stressing that the Iranians won't forget the assassination of Lt Gen Qasem Soleimani by the US.

Gen Soleimani, former commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, former deputy commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units, and their companions were martyred outside Baghdad International Airport last January on the direct order of the now-outgoing US President Donald Trump.
