Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking at the inauguration of 25 hydroelectric projects in 4 provinces on Thursday, Hassan Rouhani pointed to the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lt Gen Qasem Soleimani and described him as a man who never hesitated to serve the interests of the people.
Rouhani said that Martyr Soleimani spared no effort to gift dignity for the countries of the region and bring about humiliation to the enemies.
He also pointed to the two battlefields ahead of the Iranian nation, including economic war, and fight with the coronavirus.
Referring to the economic war on Iran by the US, Rouhani compared the US President Donald Trump to the US-backed dictator Saddam who had imposed an 8-year war on Iran and finally was toppled, adding that Trump practiced three years of economic war on Iran and he also would be toppled.
He referred to the assassination of Lt Gen Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as just one of the myriads of the US' murders and crimes, saying the revenge of which will be taken in due time.
The Iranian president stressed the unity of the country's different sections and expected them to support the government in the war.
As with the fight against the coronavirus, he called on the people and officials to cooperate against the virus and help the medical staff.
In the end, he appreciated people's cooperation and observance of the protocols and limitations due to the outbreak of the virus, inviting people to continue the observance of such protocols.
