Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Fatemeh Mohajerani stated: "From the perspective of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the snapback mechanism is illegitimate and carries significant psychological dimensions. However, we do not deny its potential economic and social impacts, which is why the government has made appropriate preparations."
She added, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is making serious efforts to prevent the activation of this mechanism and has mobilized all available resources in recent days. The foreign minister’s multiple visits, accompanied by his delegation, clearly demonstrate these ongoing efforts."
Mohajerani reiterated that Iran has never welcomed sanctions, noting: "As emphasized by the Leader, whenever there is an opportunity to lift sanctions earlier, action must be taken accordingly. The policy remains a priority for the government."
Concluding her remarks, Mohajerani said: "Addressing livelihood concerns and the implementation of commodity vouchers remain high on the government’s agenda. Every effort is being made to minimize the adverse effects of the current situation on people’s daily lives."
