Thousands of Pakistanis joined processions across major cities, including Islamabad, to mark the 40th day of Imam Hussain (A.S) martyrdom, known as Arbaeen occasion.

Syed Meesam, a participant, told Iran Press: “We have been participating in the Arbaeen procession for many years, expressing our grief in our own way and paying tribute to the sacrifices of the beloved grandson of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) and his family.”

Kashif Abbas, organizer of the Parachinar Mourning Group, said: “Today, the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (A.S) and his oppressed family and companions is being observed all over Pakistan and the world. We participate in this procession in our regional way, and this mourning teaches us the right way to live our lives.”


Senior journalist Dr. Qalb Nawaz added: “The mourning that arose as a result of Imam Hussain’s eternal sacrifices will continue until the Day of Judgment. People from all over the world, regardless of color or race, observe the 40th day and vow never to forget the lesson of Karbala.”
