Leaked voices show Donald Trump privately told donors in his 2024 fundraising campaign that he threatened to "bomb Moscow if Russia invaded Ukraine, and bomb Beijing in response to a potential invasion of China against Taiwan," a bombshell after the U.S. and Israel faced difficulties in a joint operation against Iran in July.

Why it matters:

The voice is indicative of the U.S. president's megelomania. Like its off-spring Israel, the U.S. does any works to realize its ambitious dream, even at the cost of thereatening its existance by attacking China and Russia, after Iran.

Trump’s claim to donors:

At a 2024 campaign fundraiser, Trump said he warned Vladimir Putin that any move on Ukraine would trigger U.S. retaliation: “If you go into Ukraine, I’m going to bomb the sh*t out of Moscow.” He claimed Putin doubted him, but “believed me 10%.”

China warning too:

Trump said he delivered a similar threat to China’s Xi Jinping, promising to bomb Beijing if Taiwan was invaded. Xi “thought I was crazy,” Trump added, “but we never had a problem.”

Behind-closed-doors messaging:

The remarks, from multiple private fundraisers in New York and Florida, were documented in audio obtained by Washington Post reporters for their book “2024.” The Trump campaign has not commented on the tapes.

Aggressive immigration talk:

Trump told donors he’d deport student protesters, especially those demonstrating for Palestinians: “Any student that protests, I would throw them out of the country.”

Appeal to wealthy allies:

He pitched himself as the last firewall against liberal activism, urging donors to “be generous” and promising to “set that movement back 25 to 30 years.”

Rhetoric on welfare and voting blocs:

Trump argued Republicans are at a structural disadvantage, saying: “The welfare people will always vote for Democrats.” He urged Jewish donors to help shift that dynamic.

Big money boasts:

Trump bragged about flipping a $1M lunch donation into $25M: “You have to have the courage to ask.”

Analysis:

The audio paints a raw, unfiltered picture of Trump’s off-script persona, blunt, transactional, and combative. It offers a glimpse of how the U.S. president courts elite donors with promises of harsh policies and provocative rhetoric, especially as he eyes a return to the White House.

Bottom line:

Trump’s fundraising pitch doubles as a foreign policy threat fest, with nukes, deportations, and culture war warnings all rolled into one. As the 2024 race heats up, these revelations offer a window into the playbook he’s using to fire up his base and his donors.

Go deeper:

U.S. policy in the Israeli 12 days imposed war against Iran is a crystal clear example of Trump's approach to war and peace.

Iran and the U.S. were active in indirect but active talks when Israel acted against Iran with trump support.

Trump to de-escalate tensions against Israel, attacked Iran's nuclear facilities. When the U.S. faced Iran's decisive missile response then proposed a ceasefire.

These kinds of miscalculations in a complicated region like Iran will have repercussions in China and Russia.
