Statement of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Heroic People of Iran:
Heroic People of Iran,
Your steadfast and unified national defense of our homeland against the Zionist regime, after 12 days of resistance, has, by the grace of Almighty God, the wise leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, and the capable hands of our brave and powerful armed forces, insightful and intelligent intelligence community, dedicated police force, alongside the strategic measures of our diplomatic apparatus, and above all, the unwavering support of you, the ever-valiant people of Iran, borne fruit in an atmosphere of solidarity and cohesion. This collective effort has forced the Zionist regime and its backers to capitulate and propose a ceasefire.
It is widely known that the Government of National Unity was engaged in indirect negotiations with the United States when the barbaric aggression of the Zionist enemy on our homeland’s soil resulted in the martyrdom of numerous women, children, innocent civilians, esteemed scientists, and courageous military commanders. The policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been to never initiate aggression but to decisively end any adventurism, violation, or assault.
This monumental and historic victory owes its success, above all, to the people who, with patience and perseverance, brought triumph and made the enemy regret its ambitions. Iranians have once again proven in this conflict that they are a united, loyal, and self-sacrificing nation, standing under the cherished flag of Iran, enduring all hardships to defend their homeland.
We consider it our duty to express our profound gratitude, with utmost humility, to you, the heroic nation, for creating an epic through your unity and national solidarity, forming an impenetrable barrier against the enemy and thwarting its sinister intentions. We take pride in serving you.
Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran prioritizes preserving and sustaining this national unity, embracing all perspectives and factions that together form the vibrant spectrum of solidarity and cohesion. We also extend our appreciation to the country’s executive and administrative institutions, healthcare personnel, and service providers who played an unparalleled role by ensuring the supply of essential goods, meeting critical needs, maintaining infrastructure, and sustaining public transportation, courageously performing their duties under challenging circumstances. The effective and proactive role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran was a turning point in the nation’s victory, deserving of commendation.
Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran deems it its duty to thank the wise guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah al-Uzma Khamenei (may God preserve him), for his support and trust in the government. We also express our gratitude to academics, civil society activists, politicians, intellectuals, artists, media professionals, and political parties of all inclinations for their solidarity. This aggression demonstrated that when the homeland is at stake, all people, united in national cohesion, stand ready to defend their country and its soil to the last breath. No artificial or proxy regime can undermine Iran’s unity, national identity, or deterrent power.
