Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health said that the number of COVID-19 infected patients who had lost their lives in the last 24 hours has decreased from 185 on Wednesday to 174 on Thursday.

Iran PressIran News: Sima Sadat Lari said on Thursday about the latest data on the coronavirus and the deaths caused by the virus: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to August 6 in the country, 2,634 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed. Also, the number of patients with this disease reached 320,117, and 1,304 of the new patients were hospitalized."

According to the spokeswoman, 277,463 people have so far recovered from the disease and have been discharged from hospitals.

Lari said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 174 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 17,976 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

The official stated, 4156 patients are in intensive care units. Around 2,612,763 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country.

According to the spokeswoman, provinces of Mazandaran, Tehran, Golestan, North Khorasan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Alborz, Qom, Khorasan Razavi, Kerman, Semnan, East Azerbaijan, Markazi, Yazd, and Gilan are in a critical situation (Red status).

Also, Fars, Ilam, Lorestan, Hormozgan, Zanjan, Qazvin, West Azerbaijan, Bushehr, Hamadan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces are on alert.
