News sources on Friday announced the start of a judicial investigation in France against the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi for his involvement in torture in the Yemeni war.

Iran PressEurope: According to AFP, a judge in France has launched an investigation against Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan over his alleged involvement in a torture case in the Yemeni war.

Earlier, a human rights group called the International Coalition for Human Rights and Freedom in France had sued the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi for inhumane treatment and torture in Yemen.

A lawsuit filed by human rights activists accusing the Saudi coalition of torturing, inciting war, killing women and children, and imposing sanctions on Yemen, which has led to widespread famine and starvation in the country in which Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed is in charge as the Deputy Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates and several other countries, has launched a military invasion of Yemen since March 2015 and a land, sea and air siege.

The aggression by Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen has so far killed thousands of Yemenis. The Saudi military aggression has also left the impoverished country of Yemen severely short of food and medicine.
