Iran Press/ Asia: Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Hojjatoleslam Vahid Kashani highlighted the elegance of the Arbaeen March in recent years and said:
"The love for Ahl ul-Bait (AS) has created the Arbaeens out of Karbala event and in the recent years Arbaeen mourning has turned into an international conference participated by the love for Ahl ul-Bait (AS) from different parts of the world and different religions in Karbala."
The participants in the ceremony then mourned the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (AS).
Arbaeen occasion is 40 days after Ashura Day, when Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions were martyred in Karbala.
Ashura is the 10th day of Muharram. In 61 AH (October 10, 680 CE), Imam Hussain (AS) and his true companions were martyred in the battle against the army of then-time tyrant Yazid I, led by 'Umar b. Sa'd.
