Iran Press/ Asia: Speaking at the 6th edition of the CICA summit, Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi Stressed:
"Considering that Asia is at the center of emerging global changes, maintaining and strengthening peace in this vast area is not a choice but a necessity."
President Raisi further stressed: "CICA and its governing spirit, i.e. mutual trust, common interests, equality, joint consultation, respect for cultural diversity, emphasis on the necessity of realizing security and common development for all, is an effective mechanism that aims to achieve and strengthen peace and security and promote sustainable development. For Asian nations, it has an irreplaceable role and will be a valuable souvenir for future generations."
He further stated: "In the meantime, it should be noted that naturally, countries that breed terrorism themselves should not define the rules and regulations of fighting terrorism."
"The bullies who have taken the world financial system hostage and are engaged in looting the wealth of nations cannot be a reliable partner in shaping the emerging order," continued he.
Iran's President further stressed that Islamic Iran would surely continue to seek and strengthen Justice based multilateralism as a steadfast partner.
Stating that the world today, more than ever, needs a more effective role of regional mechanisms to create more opportunities for the objective interaction of international actors and the peaceful resolution of regional and global issues, Raisi said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran will definitely continue to pursue and strengthen multilateralism based on justice as a steadfast partner."
According to Iran Press, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi stated that he believes that the member states of CICA, relying on their deep-rooted civilizational background, can use the existing methods to expand peace and security based on diplomacy and establish an all-round interaction based on justice and spirituality.
He emphasized: "The process of transformation and transition in the international system has reached a certain level, and in the new redistribution of power, hegemonic approaches are rejected, and the voice and role of independent countries are heard and observed more."
This transformation and transition needs guidance and direction so as not to be trapped by the consequences of the former international systems. The civilizational and spiritual capital that forms the common values of the ancient continent of Asia guarantees order and a world that rejects oppression, injustice, and unilateralism and deals with it; The key element in ensuring the success of this process is the cooperation and coordination of independent countries.
The sixth meeting of the heads of member states of the "CICA" Summit started on Thursday morning under the chairmanship of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the president of Kazakhstan, and with the presence of Ayatollah Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and 10 other heads of the member states.
Before the official start of this meeting, the President of Kazakhstan took a souvenir photo, first individually and then as a group, with the heads and leaders present at this meeting.
In the sixth meeting of the heads of the CICA Summit, the proposal to turn it into an international organization was proposed by Kazakhstan.
The heads and representatives will approve the agreements between the countries' members present at the meeting.
The President of Iran departed for Astana to attend the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on Wednesday afternoon.
The CICA summit is a platform for enhancing cooperation toward promoting peace, security, and stability in Asia.
