Indonesia, as a developing country and a significant force in the ‘Global South,’ is perfectly in tune with the spirit of BRICS and has been actively involved in BRICS Plus cooperation, the spokesperson said.
In response to questions about the global attention surrounding Indonesia's membership, the spokesperson highlighted its broader implications. The official inclusion of Indonesia in BRICS aligns with the shared interests of the group’s members and the ‘Global South,’ they added, expressing confidence that Jakarta’s participation would bolster the group’s development.
The spokesperson underscored China’s commitment to deeper collaboration within the bloc.
