Iran Press/Middle East: The Chairman of the Palestinian National Council congratulated Mohammad Baqer Qalibiaf on his election as Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly in a message, expressing his hope for further coordination and cooperation between two Nations.
Salim Zanoun also expressed his gratitude to Iran for the fundamental position of the Islamic Republic in supporting Palestine.
Iranian officials have repeatedly stressed that Iran stands with the Palestinian people in different conditions.
Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf was elected as the speaker of Iran's parliament with 230 votes in favor on May 28.
