Cancer growing among Yemenis due to Saudis' use of banned arms

The Health Minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government reported the increase in the incidence of cancer among the Yemeni people as a result of the use of prohibited weapons by the Saudi aggression coalition.

Iran Press/ Iran: Taha al-Mutawakil announced on Tuesdays that since the beginning of the Saudi regime's invasion of Yemen, the number of cancer patients in the areas that have been bombed with the banned weapons has increased by 100%.

The country's leukemia treatment centers receive 7,000 patients annually from different provinces of Yemen, and half of them die due to lack of medicine and special devices for treating the disease, al-Mutawakil noted.

Noting that the UN has been unable to import the simplest medical item to Yemen, the health minister criticized the weak performance of the World Health Organization (WHO) in this regard.

The warmongering of the Saudi regime and its allies against Yemen since 2015, has claimed more than 16,000 lives, injured tens of thousands of Yemenis, and displaced millions of Yemen's people.
