Iran Press/ Africa: Speaking at the BRICS ministerial meeting on Friday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Iran is among the first countries that have officially announced interest in membership in BRICS and participating within its framework.
Amir-Abdollahian has traveled to South Africa to participate in the joint meeting of foreign ministers of BRICS member countries and friends, held in Cape Town.
He called universal governance, south-south new cooperation, and a coalition of emerging economies the features of an inclusive BRICS.
The BRICS group has gained an important position in global interactions due to its strengthening multilateralism, Amir-Abdollahian noted that stated that definitely, the position will be strengthened with other regional and aligned powers' joining the group.
The Iranian Foreign Minister said that the Islamic Republic along with other aligned countries could be a reliable partner for the BRICS in the future.
