(IP)- The Belarusian president says independent countries must resist the attacks of the West.

Iran PressEurope: Alexander Lukashenko referred to the efforts of the Western countries to expand the war in West Asia. 

Lukashenko, in the Tuesday meeting with Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber, called for the further development of Tehran-Minsk ties to deal with the aggression and the pressure of Western countries. 

Referring to the imposed sanctions on Iran and Belarus, Lukashenko said: "The pressure on Iran is unprecedented, but by resisting the pressure of the United States and its allies, it (Iran) has become stronger and has gained valuable experience."

The Iranian First Vice President arrived in Minsk at the official invitation of the Prime Minister of Belarus and plans to meet Belarusian officials. 

The Iranian official also heads a high-ranking delegation to Minsk.
